My forte is working areas in pain including the neck, back, shoulder, rotator cuff, low back, sciatic, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, sports injuries, and whiplash. In addition to those conditions I address muscles overused from computer work, housework, and yard work. I mainly use Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Hot Stones and Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy® to address these issues and find relief. I can expertly combine all of these techniques in the same massage session. Clients rave about the use of Hot Stones in the palm of my hand while I apply deep pressure. Others also like the pressure that only barefeet can deliver from the Ashiatsu techniques.
Regular massage helps manage stress, anxiety and pain while improving your well being, sleep, and body awareness. When dealing with specific pain issues getting a massage once a week can greatly reduce symptoms while helping your body to heal. Once the painful acute phase has passed getting a massage every 2 to 4 weeks helps your body to stay on track and keep the pain away. I personally get a 90 minute massage from my massage therapist bi-weekly to keep me feeling great! In addition to regular massage I also receive bi-weekly chiropractic treatments from my favorite chiropractor to alleviate pain and help me feel great!
When you have specific painful areas to address I recommend focusing just on those areas and surrounding mucles during a 60 Minute Massage. I.e. neck and back only. If you would like an all over massage I recommend a 90 Minute or 2 Hour Massage to address both the problems spots and the rest of you!
